Residuals audit / SAG-AFTRA · WGA · DGA

You’re missing money. We can prove it.

SyndiTrack recalculates your residuals against every rule written since 1971, then shows you exactly what your statements left out.

Private by default. No guild, studio, or agency ever sees your audit.

Why residuals go missing

Your statement shows what they decided to pay you.

Not what you were owed. The gap is usually sitting in old syndication deals and new streaming markets, where the formulas changed and the payments did not.

Payments come from everywhere

Multiple distributors, multiple markets, none of them talking to each other.

The formulas keep changing

By contract, by platform, and by the year the episode first aired.

Statements show no working

A number arrives with nothing behind it that you can actually check.

Omissions are routine

Not rare, not exceptional. Every audit we have run has found some.

Nobody else does this math for the person who earned the money.

Three ways in

Run it yourself, or hand it to us.

Self-serve audit

Build your filmography in the app and run your own estimates, market by market.

Concierge audit

We review your entire residuals history and hand you the variance in writing.

Consulting

One session, your statements on the table, and a plan for what to chase first.

How it works

Four steps, and we get to the final number.

You send what you have. We rebuild the calculation from the contracts, market by market. You get a number, in writing, that you can take to someone.

  1. Step 01 of 04

    Send us your statements

Whatever you have, in whatever state — paper, PDFs, a shoebox. We work from what exists.

Gaps are normal. Most people have never kept a full set, and we do not need one to start.

  2. Step 02 of 04

    We rebuild your filmography

Every episode, every market, every distributor, matched to the contract in force the year it first aired.

Network prime time, basic cable, pay TV, SVOD, foreign free TV, home video.

  3. Step 03 of 04

    We recalculate the whole history

The calculator applies the rate tables and formulas as written, going back to 1971, and compares them against what you were actually paid.

Nobody else does this calculation. That is the entire reason the company exists.

  4. Step 04 of 04

You get the variance in writing

A written report with the working shown behind every line, and the talking points to take to your guild.

What you do next is your call. You can submit it to your guild or keep it in a drawer.

What you are downloading

The same calculator, in your pocket.

Build your filmography once. The app estimates what each episode should have paid in every market, flags the lines that came back short, and keeps the working so you can check it yourself.

  • Every market, every year back to 1971
  • Nothing syncs to a guild, a studio, or anyone else
  • The full education library, included
Asked most often

The questions everyone asks first.

Is my data secure?

Yes. We use secure, encrypted systems to protect your data at all times.

Who is SyndiTrack for?

Actors, writers, directors, accountants, business managers and any other representatives who receive residuals themselves or on behalf of creative talent.

How accurate are the estimates?

Estimates are calculated using your guild basic agreements, aggregate data and historical patterns. They are deductive and directional using actual formulas, but are not guarantees.

How do you calculate residuals for actors, writers and directors?

SyndiTrack uses guild/contract rules and rate tables. Residuals are governed by union agreements (SAG-AFTRA, WGA, DGA); estimators apply the relevant contract formulas (fixed payments or revenue-based percentages and credit rules) to determine base amounts.

What happens if I find a discrepancy?

You can use our E&O Report, talking points and insights to follow up with your guild, who will help you get paid or answer to any discrepancies.

In their words

Nobody wanted their name on this.

Twenty-two years on a show that never stopped airing, and I had never once checked. The first report found four figures in foreign markets alone.
Series regular · SAG-AFTRA $41,208 recovered
I manage nine clients. I assumed the guild had this handled. It does not, and now I run every one of them through this before contract time.
Talent manager $128,540 recovered
The streaming lines were simply blank. Not wrong — blank. Three seasons of a show people still watch every day.
Staff writer · WGA $9,317 recovered
